Capacities & Depth of Discharge #

As of 14/05/2023 this is a best effort gleaned from various sources as to the current state of batteries fitted to Givenergy systems both past & present. Note that earlier in 2023 it was noted that there was an error in some datasheets regarding the DOD of certain packs – stated as being 90% DOD but actually only 80% (namely the 2.6 & 5.2kWh packs) – there is some debate as to whether some packs truly existed at all & were 90% – so I’ve left them here but put them under the “retired” section as they should no longer be available to new installs.
Always go by what is on the nameplate sticker of your battery as a true value (example below) which will state your D.O.D & Usable Capacity. (If there are future firmware upgrades that change these values I will try to keep up!)

Charge & Discharge limits (Currents / Power) are battery theoretical MAXIMUMS and not what you will achieve normally. These limits are inverter dependant & as such covered in the inverter section (i.e. the 9.5kWh battery is capable of discharging ~4kW however when attached to a Gen 1 Hybrid inverter it is limited to 2.6kW as that is the limit of the inverter internals.)

Note: As with all batteries these will suffer from wear/degradation over years of usage, so the below figures are “as new”.
It is unclear if the buffers move to allow for this wear or if this is taken out of the customers usable portion.
